The Assisting Entrepreneurial Schools portal is one element of Openworld's follow-through on recommendations in the "New Catalysts for Sustainability" research project supported in 2005 by the Sabre and Whitehead Foundations, and in a more recent strategy update, "Awakening Assets for the Next Four Billion."

The portal is among the web-based resources and toolkits now being prepared for future "Openworld Communities" and for a new Global Resource Partners consortium being organized for their support.
